No matter the range of emotions you're experiencing, whether it's pure delight or a low point, Snuggles and your fellow members are always ready to lend an ear, comprehend your feelings, and offer uplifting support.

Can jumpingMinds help me in a crisis situation?

In case of crisis, jumpingMinds can help in providing professional Psychiatrist & psychologist. The users can book a session with relevant therapist and get professional guidance. Note: jumpingMinds is not designed to assist in acute, critical emergencies. For that, we have curated a SOS section with credible hotline number to get help.

What all jumpingMinds can help you with?

jumpingMinds can help you manage your emotions and thoughts by providing you a safe and secure outlet for your feelings.
- “Expert” feature connects distressed peers with mental health professionals who possess specialised training and clinical expertise. They create a safe and confidential space for individuals to address their mental health concerns.
- “Chat with a Peer” is an anonymous chat feature enabling users to engage in a non-judgemental conversations with peers who have similar experiences or challenges. It fosters a sense of mutual support and empathy as users can share their thoughts, emotions, and personal journeys with others who can relate.
- “Inspire” is designed to encourage users to actively participate by posting their thoughts, experiences, and insights on the platform. It creates a sense of community by connecting like-minded individuals who can share their stories and offer support.
- “Learn & Grow” section of the platform serves as a valuable resource for users seeking to gain insights and knowledge about mental health. It offers informative articles, educational content, and resources created on a range of topics related to mental wellbeing.
- “Mcorners” are dedicated to promoting relaxation and a positive mindset. It provides soothing sounds, calming music, and guided meditations that users can listen to for relaxation and stress reduction.

How is talking to a peer different from talking to a professional?

- Peers are users like you and everyone else, who have first hand experience with mental health issues. They understand the importance of listening and can offer useful suggestions based upon their life experiences.
- We make sure our Peers undergo training, designed to polish their active listening skills and communicate the responsibilities they have been entrusted with.
- However, Peers are not fit for medical advice and expertise. Talking to a #jMExpert with specialised training, expertise and therapeutic interventions is advisable.
- Mental health professionals are trained to provide professional guidance, assess mental health conditions, offer evidence-based treatments, and provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to address their mental health concerns through customised therapy sessions that we offer.

How’s jumpingMinds different from other Mental wellness apps?

JumpingMinds has taken the initiative to develop a unique platform that addresses these needs by creating a free, safe, and anonymous space to foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment through experts, like-minded community and peers. The jumpingMinds team has extensively researched and gathered international data and statistics to understand the global landscape of mental health. It has been observed that healthcare infrastructures worldwide are still evolving. There is a scarcity of mental health professionals, with 1 in 4 people worldwide experiencing mental health conditions at some point in their lives. Around 80% of people with mental health disorders in low- and middle-income countries do not receive the necessary treatment.
- Secondly, every individual and their challenges are different. Some might just need to vent out, some need some relaxation time or need a therapy session. We provide an ecosystem of mental wellness on one tap.- Most importantly, jumpingMinds recognises the paramount importance of security and privacy in mental health support platforms.

Profile & Account

Do I have to use my real name for the ‘username’?

No.You can choose an anonymous name for your username. When you join the jM Community, an anonymous name has already provided to you. You can edit your name from profile screen as well. (Profile>settings> update nickname).

How should I access the jumpingMinds app, if I’m younger than 18 years?

Currently, we’re not equipped with the appropriate resources to support underage users. Please drop us an email at hello@jumpingminds.ai with a request for underage support in jumpingMinds, we’ll reach out to you as soon as we launch

I've switched to a new phone, how do I move my data from the old one to the new phone?

Please update your contact number if you are joined as a guest user. Once you link your account with your contact you can access it on any phone or webapp.

How can I update my personal account details?

Though jM is an anonymous community, you can update some basic information about yourself from your profile. Follow these steps:
- Open the jumpingMinds app and tap your username on homescreen (top left)
- Open settings (top right)
- On the Settings Page, you should see an “Edit Profile” section which will help you view/update your personal details mentioned above. Don't forget to save your changes before exiting!

How do I delete my account?

Follow these steps to delete your account from jumpingMinds:
-Open the jumpingMinds app and tap on the PROFILE icon on the bottom navigation bar
- Inside Profile Page, tap on the Settings icon towards the top of your screen
-On the Settings Page, tap on “Delete My Account” section and once you’ve decided, click on “Delete”

How should I report an issue or give feedback?

To report any issues or provide any feedback for the app and community, Please follow these steps: you can always reach out to us via email at snuggles@jumpingminds.ai.
1. Open the jumpingMinds app and go to PROFILE by tapping on your username on homescreen.
2. Inside Profile Page, tap on the Settings icon towards the top of your screen
3. On the Settings Page, tap on “Give Feedback” section.

How do I delete my data from the app?

Follow these steps to delete your account from jumpingMinds:
1. Open the jumpingMinds app and go to PROFILE by tapping on your username on homescreen.
2. Inside Profile Page, tap on the Settings icon towards the top of your screen
-On the Settings Page, tap on “Delete My Account” section and once you’ve decided, click on “Delete”

Data Privacy and security

Is my data private and secure?

- We don't store any of your personal information. You can choose a username of your choice which need not be your name.
- Age Range, Educational & Professional details are all bucketised categories.
- Data for one user can not be accessed by any other user. We have very stringent rules in place for the same.
- Data that is not required to be sent to the server is not sent. This ensures the data is kept locally on your device itself.
- The app only collects your chats and app usage information. We encrypt all data provided by you using strong TLS encryption protocols and transmitted securely from your mobile device to our servers.
- Chats are stored on the backend in an anonymised fashion.
- You have the ability to delete the chats anytime via the In-Chat settings menu. On top of this, all the chats are automatically purged from the jumpingMinds system after some time.
- As of now, once you sign up with a chosen username, no one else can login with the same username on any device other than yours.

What all personal information do you store?

- No. we don’t store any personal information about you. We don’t ask for any personal data.
- The username is chosen by you and should not contain any personally identifiable details like your name etc. Refer to this section for your username.
- Your Age Range, Educational and Professional details are all bucketed categories.
- All your chats within the app are encrypted and anonymised before sending to the servers. On top of it, these chats are automatically purged after some time from the jumpingMinds system and alternatively you can delete your chats anytime via the In-Chat settings menu.
-For certain Peers, we ask for their public LinkedIn profile. This is done in order to verify our Peer’s credentials before entrusting them with the responsibilities to talk to our users and suggest them. This information is stored in a secured and encrypted manner.

What should I do in case any personal information is shared in a chat?

- Please do not share any personal data that directly or indirectly identifies you at any time during your use of our service such as while in conversation with Snuggles or with a Peer. All conversations with Snuggles and any Peer are private and not shared with anyone.
- If you inadvertently submit any Personal Information (including but not limited to email identifier, location address, mobile numbers) then you should reach out to us at hello@jumpingminds.ai. We will process it and redact any Personal Information or will anonymise it.
- The details of your conversations are never shared with any external parties outside jumpingMinds, including any partners.

Who will be able to read and use my messages?

-Your chats in the app are encrypted and made anonymous before being sent to the servers. Additionally, these chats are automatically removed from the jumpingMinds system after a certain period of time. You also have the option to delete your chats anytime through the In-Chat settings menu.
-To enhance our algorithms and train Snuggles, our team occasionally utilizes a small number of messages. Rest assured, these messages are completely anonymized and do not contain any personally identifiable information.
-In the event of an account or a particular chat receives multiple reports from other users, a moderator may review your chats.

What security measures are taken?​

- jumpingMinds uses industry-standard safeguards to prevent unauthorized access to your data. We encrypt all data provided by you using strong TLS encryption protocols and transmitted securely from your mobile device to our servers.
- Your data is also encrypted at-rest in our storage servers using strong industry compliant AES-256 encryption protocols.
- Our servers are hosted and managed by industry leaders in the provision of cloud hosting services.
- We maintain service level and Data Protection agreements with our hosting partners. Please read our Privacy Policy to know more about how we secure your data.

Where do you store my data? Is it safe?

Your data is safeguarded according to industry standards with the highest level of security measures in place. It is encrypted and stored securely in Virtual Private Cloud servers, ensuring the utmost protection. Furthermore, your privacy is ensured as your information remains anonymous throughout the process.

Peer FAQ

How do I connect with a #mWarrior?

- By clicking on “Find a Peer” button (or ‘+’ icon) on the bottom navigation bar.

My Peer is inappropriate, what do I do?

- Move out of the communication :- End chat between you and the Peer using the end chat button from the chat settings on the top right corner.
- Rate and Review :- Leave a written review for your Peer. You can find the star review button in your chat window. We use your written reviews to give Peers direct feedback on how to improve. Please keep your reviews honest and thoughtful. We are all here to grow together.
- Report the Peer :- Report Peer from the chat settings.

My Mwarrior account is deactivated, what should I do?

- Your account was likely disabled for a violation of terms of service. We remove members and peers who are reported for being abusive, harmful or involved in a chat that is sexual in nature.
- If you feel this was done in error, please email to let us know. We will review your account and get back to you within 3 to 5 days of your submission.

My account is suspended/blacklisted,
what should I do?

- Your account was likely disabled for a violation of terms of service. We remove members and peers who are reported for being abusive, harmful or involved in a chat that is sexual in nature.reasons For Suspension:
1. Sexual and inappropriate conversation.
2. Sharing & Asking for personal details.
3. Rude and abusive conversation.
4. Age inappropriate conversation.
5. Violating mWarrior pledges
- If you feel this was done in error, please feel free to reach out to us at snuggles@jumpingminds.ai. We will review your account and get back to you.

For how many days, the account remain suspended?

Depending upon the intensity and frequency of the guidelines violation, the suspension days get assigned.
-1 genuine report- warning.
-2 genuine reports- suspension for 1 day
-3 genuine reports- suspension for 3 days
-4 or more reports- suspension of 7 days.
-Violation after 1 suspension- blacklisting of the account.

My peers keep referring me to Crisis resources or therapy and ending the chat. Why?

- mWarriors are not expert to deal with crisis situations. So if you are deemed potentially harmful to yourself or others, they are obligated to share relevant resources to you. Since Peers are also users like you and everyone else, they can choose to end the chat if the conversation is triggering or unsafe for them.
- Over the internet it is very difficult to reasonably confirm if someone is truly in crisis or not, so we are on the side of caution for both your and the community’s safety.
- In cases of issues or topics, where our Peers don’t feel empowered to talk or feel it is better suited for a trained professional, they can refer you to the therapists/SOS and end the chat.
- While our goal is to provide support to everyone, we have limits on the level of support we are able to offer via our mWarriors.

I need access to my past conversations, how and where can I find it?

- Yes, your conversations with your Peers can be accessed from the "Your chats" tab in your app.
- Generally, your chats are automatically purged after some time from the jumpingMinds system. Post this time, there will be no way to recover such chats.

mWarrior FAQ

How should I become a Peer?

You can become a mWarrior by submitting a "become a mWarrior" request from your jM app. To submit that, please complete these simple steps:
- Go to your profile by clicking on your username in the top left corner of home screen.
- Click on Become a mWarrior. Complete your profile & add the expertise tags.
- Earn 2 endorsements by gaining 2 good feedbacks from your mWarriors. You can do that by having good & meaningful conversations with mWarrior.
- You can write us an email at hello@jumpingminds.in and our team will reach out to you with the relevant resources.

I can’t log in to my Peer account

Your account was likely disabled for a violation of terms of service. We put Peer accounts on hold who are reported for:
- Participating in a chat that is not helpful, abusive, harmful to the member, or sexual in nature.
- Giving out personal contact information or social media handles or asking to connect off of jumpingMinds.
- Violation of inspire community guidelines.
- Repeated violation with more than 3 suspension of 1day/3day/7day, your account will be permanent blacklisted.

What should I do if someone is in crisis?

- If you find your peer in distress and crisis and can't think of any way to help them, please refer them to jM Expert section or SOS resources. There they can find quick and professional guidance.
- After you give the referral information, we request that you professionally disconnect from the chat by saying something like this: “I can tell you are going through a very hard time right now. I encourage you to reach out to the right help like talking to a therapist from expert section or try SOS helplines. As a Peer, I am able to show you empathy and compassion, but since in jumpingMinds, peerchat is not a crisis management center, I am not trained to help you through this difficult situation. In a few moments, I am going to leave the chat to provide you the space to reach out to the right therapist. I am still more than willing to support you as your Peer and will check in with you shortly.”

Payments & Refund Policy

What is the refund procedure for expert session?

- Full refund of expert session booking will be made if the session is cancelled 3 hours prior to the scheduled timing.
- 50% will be refunded 2 hours prior to the scheduled session.
- No refund will be there if the session is cancelled only 1 hr prior to the session.

Why my jMCash redeem request is rejected?

If your account is suspended/blacklist due to violating jM guidelines, your jM Cash will be rejected and deducted from your profile. After the reactivation of the account, you can continue with your mWarrior status and start earning jMCash.

What is the refund procedure for subscription pack?

Refund of subscription pack is applicable only during technical issues associated with recharge.
If the account is suspended or blacklisted, no amount will be refunded for subscription pack.

Will I get refund for premium subscription if my account is suspended/blacklisted?

If your account is suspended/blacklist due to violating jM guideliens, your subscription will not be refunded. After the reactivation of the account, you can continue with your premium services for the remaining days.
